20 weeks
Thursdays, May 25 - October 5, 2023
We host a 20 week, certified organic, multi-farm CSA with our partners Salad Days Farm & the farming collective, Casey County Organics. Our CSA offers a well balanced mix of produce, fruits, mushrooms and herbs from farms across the bluegrass to local retail outlets for CSA pickup. Throughout the growing season, CSA is our primary focus as we offer premium quality & a bountiful variety of local, fresh, in season fruits and vegetables to our CSA members. Our shares include an average of 7 items and provide 2-4 people with most of their weekly produce needs.
We begin each season in late May with tender salad mixes, snap peas, kale, cabbage, radishes, carrots, onions, turnips and other early season offerings. In the summer months, members enjoy sweet corn, potatoes, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, cucumbers, bell peppers, green beans, heirloom tomatoes, squash, garlic, eggplant, basil, sage, mint and more. As August nears, you may see an orange watermelon or the exotic Kentucky fruit, the paw paw included in your farm share. Fall months bring sweet potatoes, winter squash and salad mixes. We end our CSA in mid October with a return of cold season crops.
